Weight Watchers Check in 11

Quick Summary:

I don’t remember that much about this past week. I’ll let you guess if that’s because my life is so exciting/boring that I can’t keep the details straight.

I’ll admit to kind of staring at myself in the mirror this week. This was really the first week that I could look at my reflection and see that I’d lost weight. It was nice.  I’m sure a little vanity won’t ruin me forever.

It was a little puzzling though because for the first five days of the week I was well within my points range and yet I had gained two pounds according to the scale. It was a little frustrating because before whenever I’d gained weight there had been a clear cut reason for it, but I couldn’t think of anything.

Then, I realized that my hormones were raging, I was an emotional wreck, was craving salty snacks, and had unexpected weight gain. Turns out I was having the PMS from hell. (Don’t worry, I don’t have any male readers to scare off) So after a bit of moaning on the Zehlahlum Family Facebook Page I upped my water and fruit consumption, crossed my fingers, and hoped for the best.

It must have worked because I lost one pound this week. I was definitely happy with that. Happier still, because I’ve now lost 10.6 pounds using Weight Watchers since mid-January and it hasn’t even sucked. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve worked for this and I certainly feel like I’ve earned it and I’m making healthier choices overall, but ice cream and vodka are still regular parts of my diet so no complaints here!

Oh, and just so it goes into history: I ran this week. Just once, but hey, I did it. Someday I’ll get my hula hoop made too. The new neighbors will love us…three hooligan kids and one hooping mama.
